Our doors opened in Clovis, New Mexico in 2024 after our owner, Rocky Benard, realized there was a lack of Louisiana cookin’ in our area. Through his travels, it was obvious that Cajun & creole food was a staple in the southern states. He knew his deep love for Cajun culture and flavors needed to be shared with all of you! That is when the idea for Salty Mermaid Cajun Seafood Boil became a reality. He wanted to bring the delicious flavors and spice of Cajun cuisine to our area. Sharing the bold flavors of the bayou doesn’t just feed your belly, it feeds your soul! So, in true Cajun spirit, Rocky, along with some good-hearted people and a dream, made Salty Mermaid come to life.
When you walk into our restaurant, we want you to feel like you’ve stepped into the bayous of Louisiana. We are unapologetically edgy with flavors that will wow you! Our menu includes Cajun favorites like jambalaya, po’boy sandwiches, fried fish and of course, our signature boils! We pride ourselves on providing excellent food and even better service.
Everyone is welcome at Salty Mermaid! We make sure our guests know how much we appreciate them coming in to see us. Our promise is that folks leave with a full belly and a smile on their face. It’s just the Cajun way!
